Have to Play the Number Game

When touring a production studio in NY, NY a few years ago, there were auditions being held for a major software company. I mingled with some of those waiting their turn and I remember a couple things some of the aspiring actors were telling me.

It really shocked me when I asked one of the actors what audition they are trying out for and they answered

"I don't even know"

Wild.

I waited and she continued

"...you have to play the numbers game for its impossible to know what the client ends up wanting. The more you try, the more you will stick."

Good advice as I remain positive. Statistics are a tool for success. Its not rocket science but more or less an understanding of those who in the business. These folks are living proof that hard work and experience must be respected.
