Oh Oh Oh Where Has the Time Gone?!?!

Well many great things happened this past week...

1) Had an audition for new revolutionary workout equipment and did great. After a photo shoot and an interview with six producers, I was selected for a callback where I was video taped using the workout equipment.

It was a big audition with over 100 males and females trying out for the role.

Word should arrive mid-week if I landed the gig... it will be sweet since this is a national commercial!

It was great to see some familar faces as well as meet some new ones. Overall, there were many of good looking ladies at this audition!

2) Found potential buyer for my full length movie script, THE TOWNSMEN. There is a local production company who is tag-teaming projects with a larger production company in LA, prospecting projects for 2010.

I met some of the production crew at one of my other video shoots who contacted and asked me for any movie material. After I finish the re-write, I'll be shipping my script off to these companies. Pretty wild, considering this is one of my first completed full length scripts.

I'll for sure keep you posted on these updates...

3) I had to turn down an audition for tomorrow. My '9-5' has to take priority as I'll be traveling down to the southern part of Ohio, again (I was down in Cincy today for work).

I hate turning down auditions yet have to keep a balance for I don't ever want to become some Creep-O Clown making balloon animals for some stuck up preppy kid at his birthday party. Actors wanting to make it in the industry always need to keep a '9-5' job until their work can pay rent, bills, food, etc. It's a balance and should always be kept in perspective.

4) This past week I created a long list of national script writing contests that I'll be submitting THE TOWNSMEN into this year. My goal is to win some awards for this script as well as with my next script. After winning several writing awards, I will pursue a literacy agent to help sell my writings as well as book future TV/ Film work... until then, its time to submit for the contests.
5) I was looking at Second City's website this weekend and once again got the itch worse than ever. It's been my childhood dream of attending the famous improv school and I will obtain that dream, before my next birthday (June 6th, 2010). That is a finite date, in print, in the books, ready to execute. It's always been my goal to be on that stage where so many actors got their start (Bill Murray, Chris Farley, Dan Akroid, Mike Meyers, just to name a few). I will be taking classes in Chicago, before June 6th... mark my words. Its time to make dreams a reality and I've been working very hard at doing so for a very long time. There is no doubt, none, that Second City will help take my acting and entertainment career to the next level. I will be there. Soon.

Until then, I'm extremely tired and pooped out. It was one busy day today with one busy day tomorrow (and my PBR is getting warm).

Sleep tight world, tomorrow dreams become a reality!
