I've been recently training under the respectable Broadway to LA acting studio here in Columbus and I couldn't be happier with the knowledge I've learned.
Applying tactics such as emotion memory and the magic 'if' requires actors to put their inner personalities into each character they portray. Method acting is highly respected yet highly dangerous.
Dangerous in the sense that method actors can easily lose the difference between reality and acting. Perfect example is the actor who played the Joker in the last Batman movie, Heath Ledger.
Heath engulfed himself in the role and physic of the Joker so much, its believed that's what made him caused him to accidental suicide by overdose. One serious style of acting.
Regardless, I've learned much and look forward to learning even more. Currently we are half way through our workshop and have over six weeks to go. Just like many past acting workshops, there are many talented people who attend and grow through out the series, I'm thankful to be involved with such a supportive cast!
I'll see if I can upload a couple clips from the DVDs of each weeks performance.
